Portland Headlight

While returning from the Acadia National Park in Maine, we went to Portland Head Light house almost at their closing time. The setting sun, orangish sky, reflections of the golden rays on the rocks and windows created a magical environment around me. The breathtaking view of the moment when a big wave crashed into the rock, blew my mind away and that moment I decided to tell the story of my heavenly experience through paint and brush.

This painting is my 3rd submission for Lex Art’s juried show which will begin 21st May. More information about the show will be uploaded soon. As I have mentioned in my previous post that I started to work on three seascapes just three weeks before its submission deadline, I completed other two paintings in 2.5 weeks, I had last 4 days left in my hand before I started this painting. This one took me total 36hrs. I am extremely thankful to the Lex Art team for making the submission possible for me.

Painting dimension: 20X24X1.5 inch

Medium: Acrylic
