My love for soft pastels is very recent and that’s why it is very intense 😊

I enjoy creating different subject each time. For the upcoming show at Lex Art, I was supposed to create three paintings on “New England coastline” theme.

For the second submission, I decided to focus mainly on wave.

What attract most of us to a coastline trip is the sound of waves and the visuals of big waves who never fear to crash the shore and dis-integrate as if they know their inner power to stand up again and again just like our lives and what experience teaches us is to never fear to fall, because if you fall, you can rise again. I tried to bring my experience to the canvas after visiting Acadia National Park’s sand beach.

Happy to share the news that two of my big seascape paintings “New England coastlines at the glance” and “Portland Headlight” have been selected for Lex Art juried show.

Juror, Jennifer Montgomery Johnson had the overwhelming task of selecting just 45 paintings out of total 162 submissions.
