PUNCH Sometimes, looking at the world around us, I find myself wondering—are we slowly moving towards a time where love in its purest forms becomes rare? The love between partners, a mother’s love, the bond with a dear friend, the warmth of community… is “love” itself becoming a scarce emotion?Perhaps in the future, stories like Punch will stand as reminders of how love always finds its way. If Wall-E ever revisits Earth centuries from now and discovers the image of this little monkey heart-fully embracing his only companion, maybe that will serve as evidence that we once knew how to love, cherish, and preserve love. Or maybe it’s just my overthinking. But standing in today’s worrisome world, where we parents constantly ask ourselves—what kind of world are we leaving for our children?—I was completely overwhelmed by the love I received for my painting “Where Love Finds a Home.” Within 24 hours of posting its image, my Facebook and Instagram inboxes were filled with your messages. Honestly, I hadn’t painted it with selling in mind. But over the last couple of days, I worked on it a little more—sealed the canvas sides with golden paint, applied varnish, and wired it. Now, Punch is ready to go to a new home. A home where he can spread his innocent love and receive plenty of it in return. If you’re still interested, I’m open to your offers. 💛 Right now, he’s sitting right across from our dining table, making eye contact and having a lovely conversation with us.
